Why Acai Berries are good for your skin?

Acai Berries for Skin Care

Acai berries are fruits of the Acai Palm tree native to Central and South America. Acai berries are rich in antioxidants. They strengthen the immunity of the body system and help to fight against disease causing germs.

Acai Berries are good for the skin because they -

  • reduce pigmentation
  • evens out the skin tone
  • fights against aging
  • protects against free radical damage
  • rich in Omega 3, Omega 6 and linoleic acid that help in the generation of collagen fibers

Acai berries have twice the amount of vitamin C when compared to blueberries. Vitamin C helps in the production of collagen fibers and is an antioxidant that protects skin cells from free radical damage.

Many cosmetic products have Acai berries as one of their ingredients.

Acai berries can be eaten raw or can be made into juice or smoothies. You can also mash acai berries into a pulp and apply it onto your skin.
