Benefits of olive oil for your skin

Olive oil is extracted from the fruits of the olive trees. The olives are plucked from the trees, pressed and washed.

Then this olive fruit pulp undergoes the process of decantation and centrifugation to extract the oil.

Pure olive oil that has been prepared without any further processing is called “Virgin” olive oil.

Olive oil is very good for the skin. It helps to moisturize and rejuvenate the skin. Olive oil protects the skin cells from the harsh UV rays of the sun and prevents any damage to the skin.

It helps to retain the elasticity of the skin and prevents the formation of wrinkles on the skin.

Olive oil has a vitamin A, D and K that are good for the skin.  It also has Vitamin E that helps to fight against free radicals that cause damage to the skin cells.
It helps to ease skin conditions like psoriasis and seborrheic dermatitis.

Olive oil is good for the skin and can be used daily.

As an exfoliator, mix one small spoon of sugar to two teaspoons of olive oil. Mix well and massage gently on face and wash off. Pat dry with a cloth.

Apply a small amount of olive oil around the nail and cuticles to keep them moist and hydrated. This will prevent damage to the cuticles. A healthy cuticle leads to a healthy nail.

Olive oil can be used as a makeup remover, add two drops of olive oil to a cotton ball and wipe off the makeup gently. Olive oil also helps to erase wrinkles around the eyes.
